Suitable motors selection

The Tamiya 70167 Single Gearbox that was purchased came together with Mabuchi FA-130 motor. During project first run, the motor driver (SN754410) became very hot and automatically turned off. After some findings, found that the motors have free run and high stall current (150mA/2100mA) whereas the motor driver only can supports up to 1A. The suggestion is to purchase other motors that produce lower current. Suitable motors are from Pololu, Brushed DC Motor: 130-Size, 6V, 11.5kRPM, 800mA Stall. Below are the comparison between the motors.

The SN754410 driver datasheet can be found here. Datasheet clearly shows it can supports only to 1A.
